Born and raised in England, my spa career began more than twenty years ago when I attended extensive training in my native Cornwall. This has been complemented over the years by many additional training courses in London, Paris and the U.S.A.
Years of experience in spas on both sides of the Atlantic have led me on a wonderful journey and have allowed me to meet many a wonderful client along the way. From farmer’s wives in Cornwall, to the rich and famous on Newbury Street, these experiences have instilled a true love for my profession, because no matter what walk-of-life one is from, everybody can benefit from the nurturing hands of a spa professional.
Even though much has changed in the spa profession over the years, certain elements stand the test of time, no matter what. One such element is nature…….natural really is better.
I realize that some of my favourite moments seem to centre around connecting with nature……..quietly sitting in the garden listening to the birds singing; picking some home-grown herbs to use in the recipe you’re making for dinner; or going for a walk on the beach…there is nothing quite like the sound and the smell of the sea.
Moments like this remind us of our deep rooted connections with nature and that we are all part of the fabric of the Planet. But with fast, busy lifestyles, those connections can sometimes become interrupted with the conveniences of modern day living.
Therefore, at The Cottage Garden Spa I am committed to providing a luxurious, yet affordable green spa environment. A private retreat where you are the complete focus of attention . A respite from potentially harmful chemicals, synthetic ingredients and artificial perfumes and colours. A haven where you can re-connect with yourself and with nature.
